Pluto, now firmly planted in Capricorn through 2023, goes retrograde April 4 through September 11. Look to the news to understand how Pluto has been affecting our lives since entering Capricorn November 28, 2008.The economic revelations and layoffs are the aftermath of the rampant misuse of power while Pluto transited Sagittarius. Pluto continues to expose the misdeeds of those in power just as Martin Luther addressed the corruption of the Catholic Church in the early 1500s under the same Pluto influence. It was Pluto, in the 1760’s, who was responsible for the people of the United States and France revolting against those oligarchies.

While Pluto is retrograde we will continue to realize that only we can take care of ourselves. Turning our money, our profession, and our opinions over to others without really knowing what is happening is coming to an end. Those born in the first days of any sign are most affected by Pluto retrograde. Rethink your position and don’t freak out. This is a time of empowerment and taking charge. The systems we have come to know and depend on will be refined to better serve our needs. Meanwhile, stop blaming, get informed with the real facts, and take a role in bettering the world in which we live.

Also on April 4, Mars in Pisces is exactly opposite Saturn in Virgo. This battle between action and inertia proves frustrating to many of us as our wishes and dreams seem to be stifled by real or imaginary circumstances for several days before and after this date. Identify those who block your plans and appease them with your charm and solid plans. Once the influence of Mars conjunct Uranus on the 15th begins to take affect we will see hindrances give way to innovation. Surprises shake the leaves on the trees of our live as we are able to march past limitations.

In the smaller picture of our lives Venus, retrograde since March 6 goes direct April 17. Through the 11th Venus is retrograde in Aries. During those days we will be reconsidering relationships and how we figure into the scheme of those bonds and alliances. After the 11th Venus is retrograde in Pisces. Ours sense of appreciation for those we love and need to forgive is easily expressed. Lots of resolution can take place in the final days of Venus retrograde, but we will all feel better once this planet of love goes direct. Since Libra and Taurus are Venus ruled they will feel a sense of relief and be happier with their reflection in the mirror.

During the last eight days of the month Mars and Venus in Aries are square Pluto in Capricorn and the Sun passes halfway between the nodes of the Moon. This is an emotionally charged time. Events that take place compel many of us to act out of fear and obsession. Decisive actions should include positive steps so that once this intensity subsides we are happy with our actions and words.

Jupiter is moving toward a conjunction with Neptune on May 27 and then again on July 10 and December 21. Jupiter is expansion and the big picture while Neptune rules idealism. Those of us, who have been living in a pretend world, will discover that we can no longer live an illusion. Use great care when taking any gamble and be sure that you have the stomach to lose as well as to win over the course of this year. Prices are sure to fluctuate wildly but at the same time so will our desire for change.

April 3
Venus, still retrograde in Aries is ninety degrees from Pluto in Capricorn. Allow others to be who they need to be even if that makes you crazy. A lot of tolerance gets us to the other side of the current affairs. Cardinal signs Aries, Cancer, Libra, are especially blessed with opportunities to grow.

April 4
Mercury in Aries is sixty degrees from Jupiter in Aquarius. This all around positive aspect affords us the ability, to negotiate most deals. Travel for pleasure and study go well.

April 7
Mercury, about to leave Aries, is sixty degrees from Neptune in Aquarius. Our thoughts, words, and deeds, turn to idealistic pursuits. Personal insight is enhanced. Listen to you instincts, as they are sharper than usual.

April 9
Mercury moves into Taurus until April 30. Over the next three weeks our thoughts turn toward financial matters and value. Financial plans are in the works. Taurus can be over concerned with financial security so don’t let your mind drag you into a tizzy.

The full Moon occurs at 9:56 am CST at nineteen degrees Libra. This is the peak of the lunar cycle that began on the new Moon March 26. Legal and political matters are sure to come to a head over the next few days. Negotiations that have been stalled are resolved. Lower backs should be considered before lifting that heavy box today.

April 10
The Sun in Aries is sixty degrees from Jupiter in Aquarius. Group events are favorable and since Mercury in Taurus is one hundred twenty degrees from Pluto, you may want to attend a financial seminar. Activities with empowering groups are most beneficial, but do pass when the Kool-Aid is served.

April 15
Mars conjunct Uranus in Pisces has tempers flaring and surprise events. Staying focused gets much accomplished in the days before and after this aspect.

April 17
Mercury in Taurus is one hundred twenty degrees from Saturn still retrograde in Virgo. Details are easy to handle especially for those of us who are mopping up messes from the recent past. Those who need any sort of help should call on associates with experience in the same situation.

April 19
The Sun enters Taurus until May 20. Taurus is concerned with money and value so we can be sure that our thoughts will be concentrated on our current economic situation. Taurus is at their peak of the year and even though bulls will want to stop and smell the roses they will have to get on pursuing their goals for the upcoming twelve months. While the Sun moves through Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn have an extra bit of shine. However, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius will seem to have the weight of responsibility.

April 21
Venus is conjunct Mars in Pisces and this exciting and sexy aspect has many of us itching to have fun. Happy hour should be exciting but hold off until the 25th to make any kind of substantial plan with a special person.

Venus, still retrograde in Aries, continues to have this sign in a state of relationship evaluation. Many rams are wondering whether they can continue on the same path. Starting April 11 you will find tolerance and understanding are easier as opposed to your usual impatience. Make note of your energy levels during the first eleven days.
