Jupiter, in Sagittarius, is once again square Uranus. We have felt this aspect in January and May. While the aspect is exact on October 9 we feel its effects from early September to the end of October. Jupiter, the planet of expansion and big plans helps our financial situations. Jupiter brings opportunity. Uranus brings topsy-turvy events. While we are under this influence many unexpected opportunities come to us. Our job is to determine which ones are valid. Use caution when making financial decisions and keep your finger on your financial well being. Beware of those emails offering big payoffs. Markets are sure to gyrate causing many stomachs to turn.

Jupiter will be sextile slow moving Neptune in Aquarius on October 29. We feel this aspect all month also. Charitable endeavors are on many of our minds. Neptune is idealistic and interested in doing good works for mankind. There will be many opportunities to help others with our money or good deeds. However, since Uranus is involved all are wise to look before jumping off any cliff as a soft landing is not guaranteed.

Mercury, ruler of Gemini and Virgo, turns retrograde in Scorpio October 11 – November 1. He backs into Libra October 23. As usual while Mercury is retrograde we are forced to retrace our steps. Situations and previous plans are put on hold until Mercury moves forward in November. Since this occurs in Scorpio and Libra many of us will be rethinking our credit, taxes, mortgages, and partnerships. This is no time to start new ventures as they will fail because of lack of interest or just because they are not thought our or expedited properly. Mercury, Gemini, Scorpio, and Libra are most affected, but all of us do well to cool our jets and avoid pushing the river.

Neptune, retrograde since May 24, goes direct October 31. While Neptune was retrograde we have been reconsidering our goals, our friends, and the ways that we can make a difference in the world. Neptune can cause confusion so expect the days on both sides of Halloween to feel befuddling. Just go with the flow. The air will soon clear soon and once again it will seem like you can once again see forever.

October 3 Venus in Leo is one hundred twenty degrees from Pluto in Sagittarius. This intense yet positive aspect allows us insight into interpersonal relationships. Those of us who are in love can score big with our honey. Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius are especially hot to trot.

October 7 Venus moves into Virgo until November 8. Venus moved into Virgo on July 14 and then turned retrograde July 27 to September 8. Love stuff that has been feeling uncertain finally gets resolved by the 11th. Since Venus is not so good in Virgo some resolutions may not be to our liking. On the other hand Virgo and the meticulousness that Virgo embodies is suddenly attractive. Maybe a date to the office supply store could turn out well.

October 8 Mars, in Cancer, is sixty degrees from Saturn in Virgo. Those who are patient and can work painstakingly do well under this aspect. Cancer and Virgo are fine tuning plans. Since the Sun in Libra is sixty degrees from Jupiter we can do most jobs with a positive attitude.

October 11 The new Moon occurs in Libra at 12:01 AM CDT. This is the beginning of the lunar cycle that ends with the full Moon on October 25. The new Moon in Libra is cause for new partnerships and situations. Unfortunately, Mercury is turning retrograde and most new ventures are best delayed until the next new Moon November 9. Meanwhile, keep communications clear and do not be the source of any misunderstanding. Otherwise, you will be chasing your tale for the next three weeks.

October 12 The Sun, now in Libra, is one hundred twenty degrees from Neptune in Aquarius. Our ideas and thoughts center on spiritual matters. It is easy to put someone on a pedestal. In most cases under this aspect they are deserving of that honor. Just be sure you have not checked out of reality. Use good sense so as not to be taken advantage of by those who are not operating out of the same spiritual level. Psychic experiences are prevalent.

October 13 Venus, still in Virgo, is conjunct Saturn. Remember that Saturn is good in Virgo. This conjunction has many of us considering the ramifications of making a commitment to someone special. Issues around love and marriage are considered with caution and maturity. Our wise actions can cement relationships for years to come under this influence. Virgo, Capricorn, and Taurus have the most favorable experience while Gemini, Pisces, and Sagittarius must use good sense.

October 16 Venus, still in Virgo, is sixty degrees from Mars in Cancer. Mercury is sixty degrees from Venus. After all the seriousness of the past few days this is a good time to have fun. Actions and physical affection speaks louder than words. Give someone a hug or hold their hand. Celebrate and do what it takes to let a loved one know you care.

October 17 Mercury, now retrograde in Scorpio, is one hundred twenty degrees from Mars in Cancer. This is usually a great time for making any statement or speech with confidence. Since Mercury is retrograde do be sure all the facts are straight and do not be cocky.

October 19 Mercury is sixty degrees from Saturn. Precision usually comes easy under this influence. Since Mercury is retrograde; take all tasks extra slow and go back and check your work.

October 20 The Sun, in Libra, is sixty degrees from Pluto in Sagittarius. Libra and Sagittarius do well to work for a cause. Look beyond what is apparent to see the root cause of any situation.

October 23 The Sun enters Scorpio until November 22. While the Sun is moving through Scorpio our attentions turn to that which is unseen or between the lines. Many of us will be looking insider ourselves to discover what really makes us tick. Some of us will discover we are actually a bit compulsive. We can expect more news about credit and mortgage issues. Joint endeavors must be examined and all credit ventures must be carefully considered. The Sun moving through Scorpio is generally easy for Cancer and Pisces. Taurus can expect at least one confrontation while Leo and Aquarius are seeing situations that need adjustment.

October 29 Venus, in Virgo, is ninety degrees from Jupiter in Sagittarius. Venus and Jupiter normally go well together, but at this angle we feel a money crunch.
