Neptune turns retrograde May 24. Neptune remains retrograde until Halloween. This happens every year about this time so it is not an unusual event. Because Neptune is virtually sitting still in the zodiac we may feel confused this month. Aquarius most definitely will feel flaky. Since Neptune will be retrograde in the sign of friends and goals we will be looking at how our friends relate to us and vice versus. There can be upsets and misunderstandings that require compassion on our part. As for our goals we will be reconsidering the validity and value of our desires. Are they for the good of all? Neptune rules our ideals as well as the stuff we inherently use to sabotage our selves. In the months ahead we are smart to look inward through meditation, yoga, or just shutting up so that we can sort through our uncertainty. Practicing compassion will resolve a lot of challenges.

Mars in Pisces is ninety degrees from Pluto in Sagittarius on May 13. This is a tough angle involving two tough planets. Struggles are sure to happen. Many of us will want to persist towards a goal or challenge and that is a good thing. This is not time to give up the sinking ship. Issues can be resolved, but all are warned to use caution in the days just before during and after this aspect. Pisces, Sagittarius, Virgo, and Gemini are most affected and can accomplish the most with the intense energy that surrounds warrior Mars and big business Pluto.

May 2The full Moon occurs in Scorpio occurs at 5:09 am CDT. A Scorpio full Moon is an intense and dramatic time. Many of us will feel demanding. Resist the need to control and allow others their identity. Scorpio is a sexy sign so many of us will feel that need. This is the peak of the lunar cycle. In the days until the next new Moon May 16 expect results and rewards for past actions.

Late in the evening the Sun and Mercury are conjunct in Taurus. This is one of those think and grow wealthy days. Put your mind to financial plans. Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn can do this with ease. Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius are stressed to make the right decision. They most likely will take the risk to get the big reward.

May 5 Mercury, still in Taurus, is sixty degrees from Uranus in Pisces. Ideas, especially the weird ones, do not seem so crazy. Sharing and negotiating through our differences can bring about a consensus that we could not do with just our own thoughts. Since Mercury is also square Saturn there will be a lot of resistance for some of us to work through. Use diplomacy and maturity to get a point across. Remember, someone once made fun that invention called a computer.

May 6 Venus, in Gemini, is opposite Pluto in Sagittarius. This is a tough relationship aspect. Those who are doing something they should not be doing are sure to be discovered. Gossip and revelations regarding loved ones can be upsetting. This is a good time to support someone who is going through a trying time, as someday it may be your turn. Hard times bond and transform relationships in wonderful ways. Virgo, Gemini, Sagittarius, and Pisces are most affected.

May 7 Mercury, still in Taurus, is ninety degrees from Neptune. Neptune is illusion. Since Neptune is about to go retrograde this planet is causing confusion. Mercury is communication. That adds up to conversations and data that do not add up correctly. This is not the time to make important decisions, as most of us are not clear.

May 8 Venus moves into Cancer until June 5. Crab cakes are looking good. The rest of us feel a deeper sense of life and love for those around us. Pisces and Scorpio feel more sensitive and loving while Libra, Capricorn, and Aries might be a bit out of touch regarding the value of a dollar and that outfit with the stain on the front.

The Sun in Taurus is sixty degrees from Uranus in Pisces. Areas of our lives where we have felt stuck or stubborn become liberated. New ideas and ideologies about money are embraced. Fixed Taurus is unusually open to invention.

Mercury and Mars are sixty degrees apart. With all the exchange of ideas that are happening, some of us will feel the need to defend our positions as others want to convince us their way is the correct point of view. Their way just may be better.

May 9 The Sun in Taurus is ninety degrees from Saturn. Saturn demands responsible behavior. Many of us will be called to snap to attention or get detention. Aquarius, Leo, Scorpio, and Taurus must do the right thing. If this time is hard we have cut corners.

May 11 Mercury enters Gemini until the 28th. Our thoughts and communication will be more power packed than usual. Many of us will speak in double entendres. While Mercury is in Gemini our minds will be very active. This is easy for Gemini, Aquarius, and Libra. Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces may feel burdened by junk mail, junk email, and others blabbering.

May 12 The Sun in Taurus is ninety degrees from Neptune in Aquarius. Spend time in contemplation. Our minds are a bit foggy and this is no time to make important decisions. Financial matters are best decided a few days from now when the haze clears.

May 15 Mars moves into Aries until June 24. Mars rules Aries so this sign has the extra energy and drive to get what they desire. Aries is a fire sign so all are warned to use caution when playing with fire. Cancer, Capricorn, and Libra are not ease with this transit and must be careful of errant actions that can cause problems.

May 16 The new Moon occurs in Taurus at 2:27 PM CDT. This signals the beginning of the growing cycle. Since the Moon is in luxury conscious Taurus we will be compelled to work towards accomplishing financial goals. Now is the time to strive towards acquiring artwork or other goodies that make us feel comfortable and rich.

May 19 -20 Mercury in Gemini is opposite Jupiter and square Uranus. This means there will be a lot of blow hards shooting off their mouths. Ideas are fast fleeting and out of the box. Some ideas are innovative while others are foolish. As usual when Uranus is involved; expect the unexpected.

May 21 After the yesterday’s wild aspect Mercury sextile stable Saturn is a welcome change. Focus on tasks that require meticulousness. Those of us that were bouncing off the walls yesterday are able to sit still once again.

The Sun enters Gemini until June 21. This is Gemini’s high time of the year when this sign has to the confidence to make life work to their benefit. The rest of us will be focused on more than one side of any issue. Communication and news will be on our minds over the next month. Many of us will be planning summer trips while others will be eyeing new cars and other gadgets. Bouncing from task to task finding will be easier than handling one project at a time. Gemini is a fun energy though so this is a great time to play and even play tricks.

May 23 Mercury, still in Gemini, is one hundred twenty degrees from Neptune confusing Aquarius. Do not try to address practical matters. Have a meal with a friend and listen to their sob story. Then pick up the tab at the restaurant. After that go home and listen to a meditation tape.

May 24 Venus in Cancer is trine Uranus in Pisces. Many of us will have chance encounters with people who make our hearts flutter. Do not get too excite though as these close encounters of the hormonal kind are not long lasting. Flirting is not against the rules unless you are committed to someone else. In that case do something to turn up the temperature in that relationship.

May 27 Mercury, still in Gemini, is opposite Pluto. Heated discussions happen. Some of us will insist we are correct. This is a good time to persist as long as you are not making a big deal over something irrelevant. Those who have a secret are in danger of being exposed. This day is most challenging for Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo, and Pisces.

May 28 Mercury enters Cancer until August 4. This is an extended transit for Mercury because he goes retrograde in Cancer on June 15. Cancer, Gemini, and Virgo are wise to get stuff started between now and then. While Mercury is in Cancer our thoughts and conversations will be more feeling and sensitive. Many of us will be wearing our feelings on our sleeves. Aries, Libra, and Capricorn will be over sensitive and are wise to monitor their tendency towards crabby behavior.

May 31 It is a blue Moon or the second full Moon in the month at 8:04 pm CDT. This one occurs in Sagittarius. Sagittarius says, “Don’t fence me in.” The result of this full Moon is that many of us will want to step out of the boundaries of our lives. Adventure is in the air so be open to new ideas and rules by which to live. This full Moon has Pisces, Gemini, and Virgo anxious or irritable. Most likely they really need a change of scenery.

Taurus April, 20 -MAY 20
Taurus is confident about personal talents and capabilities. There will be times when the fog rolls in and you just are not sure which way to charge. When uncertainty prevails wait until you feel clear about your direction. Career matters are becoming confusing because you are questioning your priorities and financial needs. Family matters are becoming what matters, as those close to you need your assistance.
