December 2
December begins with Venus in Sagittarius sextile Pluto in Aquarius. This positive event brings growth and change that is easily accomplished. It is a bright spot amidst the chaos that is happening across our planet. Here at the beginning of December we will experience some sort of revitalization through innovation and independence. Some of us will just decide we are no longer going along with the paradigm that we have abided by for the last 400 years.
The Full Moon, 5:14 PM CST at 13 degrees Gemini December 4
This powerful full Moon creates a mutable grand cross between the Moon, the Sun and the nodes of the Moon. It is the square you can see inside the circle above left.
The four points on the zodiac indicate tension that has built up and wants us to individually find a new sense of self-discipline while growing as a world population. This full Moon holds a challenge to make important choices for ourselves while considering the needs of society at large. This configuration is a symbol of the revolution and revitalization that continues to brew.
The four points of this grand cross are the mutable signs Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces. What does mutable mean? It means adaptable and changeable.
This full Moon pushes us to adapt to new ways of living and being-- especially in our communication, travel, and our pursuit of a higher meaning for our lives. We are changing our food supplies, the way we work, and our alliances with other countries. Remember that the BRICS alliance is changing the cultural and economic dynamics of the world as are the issues of tariffs here in the United States. This full Moon is just another signpost that we are being pushed to make wise decisions regarding our personal and collective futures.
The grand trine in water which is happening at the same time offers supportive avenues for us to respond to the changes that, in most cases, are being forced upon us.
One good example is the response to food aid being cut to those who are economically disadvantaged. We the people are individually taking action to support the effort to help in the face of our tax dollars being diverted away from those causes.
The grand trine in water is exact during December 6-8 wherein Mercury in Scorpio, Jupiter in Cancer, and Saturn in Pisces create a triangle in the zodiac. It is the perfect triangle inside the circle.
In the real world this creates structures that dole out compassion and mercy for those of us in need of a helping hand. Helping others is why we were born.
On the heels of the full Moon, Mars in Sagittarius is ninety degrees from Saturn in Pisces June 8. This is called Mars square Saturn. Mars is action and Saturn says, “not so fast”. Many of us will be wanting to accomplish a goal or desire, but will be limited by the people who want to stifle our ambition so that they can have their way. Aggression will be met with resistance. Change will be met by authorities who want to hold the power. This can be a tense time.
December 9-11
Neptune, retrograde in Pisces since July 4, turns stationary direct at 29 degrees Pisces December 10. Twenty-nine degrees Pisces is the last degree of the zodiac.
Neptune turning direct brings clarity in the face of illusion and delusion. This makes the picture of life seem clearer. We can see past the lies of those we have trusted and those who have attempted to influence us. Our fantastical ideas give way to emotional and spiritual honesty and awareness. Many of us will realize that what was once thought to be true is, in reality, false. Yes, the world is not flat.
Neptune turning direct at 29 degrees is significant because this is the end of a Neptune cycle through the zodiac that last began April 13, 1861. The American Civil War began on April 12.
In the days until January 26, we will experience big endings. Our psychic sensitivity will be heightened, patterns of behavior will come to light to be cleared, and we will be cleansed of that which no longer serves us. We continue to prepare for a new beginning. That beginning comes in the next year and continues for several more years. This is just one of the many events that are now escorting humanity into a new consciousness. This is one of the many reasons that you were born to be here in this life at this time.
In the weeks until January 26 the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars will move across the final degrees of the signs they are transiting, they will angle Neptune at this final degree. The same thing will happen as they angle Saturn in Pisces until mid February. Likewise, they will angle Uranus at 29 degrees Taurus until the last week of April. This will create karmic endings and evolution for all of humanity.
In this current period of December 9 -11, Mercury in the last degree of Scorpio opposes Uranus at the final degree of Taurus and is harmoniously angling Neptune. This can bring upsetting financial news, power outages, and computer glitches. Transportation can be disrupted as events show us what systems must be improved.
Mercury moves through Sagittarius December 11 to January 1, 2026. Mercury in Sagittarius broadens the horizon of our thinking. Our minds are ready to open, but Mercury does not like to be in Sagittarius, so we may act on information without having all the details. Our communication will be direct. Slow down and do not rush to conclusions.
December 13 to 17
Right after moving into Sagittarius, Mercury is sextile Pluto December 13. Many of us will have those “aha” moments where it all becomes clear. Our deep thoughts will help us get closer to that light at the end of the tunnel.
Mars is square Neptune December 14. Our actions can be confused, and we must determine if our motives are pure. You can be sure that there will be lots of confusing influences injected into the news and in our life experiences during this time. This is the time to get clear on what we wish to accomplish and the best ways to accomplish our vision.
Right after that angle, on December 15, Mars moves into Capricorn. Mars is exalted in Capricorn. This is an honorable place for Mars as Mars combines practicality with plans and goals. Mars also bestows patience to our process so that we are able to sustain our efforts.
Right after that, the Sun in Sagittarius is square Saturn December 16/17. Limits are placed upon us. Those limits may be placed by authorities, people, or situations. At this time, we must muster our ability to transcend obstacles. Bad news and holdups in plans or travel occur in the last days of December. Mercury forms the same angle December 30, supporting challenges to our progress. If you travel, know that there will be bumps in the road, rolling seas, and turbulence on flights.
The New Moon December 19 at 7:43 pm CST in Sagittarius at 28 degrees

Enjoy feeling inspired and content at this time. Love can be wonderful, but then Venus moves into Capricorn. If this time period had sound effects, I would use a sound bite of a record scratch. Remember that expectations can be limitations, so do not think all your relations will behave at holiday gatherings. That is just too much to ask during this big shift on earth.
Our idealism is replaced with mature thoughts and feelings based on caution and practicality while Venus transits Capricorn from December 24 to January 17. This is not a bad thing, as Venus in Capricorn grounds our feelings so that we can decide if we want to commit to a relationship or other situation. Enjoy the calmness of Venus in Capricorn. That Was “The Year That Was”
This has been a year unlike that which we have probably ever had in our lives. We are seeing the end of our way of life and quite frankly, much of it and those who fuel it, need to lose their power and influence.
We have seen murderous attacks on innocent people, we have seen people unlawfully taken from their homes. We have seen that most of the leaders of the world are not who we want to be leading us. Nepal has fallen, and we have discovered a worldwide network of sex traffickers has existed in plain sight for longer than many of us have been alive.
This is not the end of the world. We have approximately nine years to go before the dust settles. Remember that Pluto takes things apart and puts them back together. We have just begun as of November 19, 2024. We must understand what must be dismantled before we can rebuild in a new image of freedom and equal rights for all -- fueled by the people – and not the few people who have all the money. In the face of all this, movements fueled by and for the masses are taking shape and the people of the world are taking to the streets. The Civil Rights movement and the Vietnam War protests seem tame compared to what is happening now.
This month of December we have lots of choices to make. We are adapting our finances, our jobs, and our emotional bonds.
This is a month of renewal in the face of sudden events. The internet, financial markets, and even travel are subject to lightning strikes that change us overnight. As we adapt, there are those who want to hold onto wealth-- hoarding, hating, and clinging to prejudice. Many of us are beginning to awaken and to pivot. New voices continue to come to the scene. Women who have been silent are speaking up and that is good, because women are the ones who will take up the lantern to show us the way. We are one. Everyone can have it all--and will--but only one day at a time.

More and more people are talking about a black swan event. This is an event that changes us forever. They are not predictable, but once they occur we are able to understand why they happened and take measures to avoid them again. Covid 19, 911, and financial meltdowns such as the Great Depression that began in 1929 are examples of a black swan event.
Given the unprecedented events occurring in the zodiac in the next six months, expect something big to occur that will affect all of us. Do not be afraid. Get your life settled and in order. This is an amazing time to be alive.

Read the summary with your calendar that shows the whole month on one page. Read through the intro and make note of the days that I point out. Mark the new Moon and the full Moon. The days between the new Moon and the full Moon are when you generally want to start something that you want to grow. Do look at that Moon void chart and take a rest on those days. I have discovered that no matter what I plan, it turns out another way on a Moon void day. Anything you try to accomplish will turn out with unexpected results.
Make note of the three days before the new Moon. People usually get anxious during these days because the phone does not ring or they feel confused or simply nothing is happen. That is because it is wind down time before the new Moon. You will usually notice that the action of life picks up once the new Moon occurs. Also note the days that planets change directions, especially Mercury retrograde.
