2026 - THE RESET, THE SHIFT, THE PIVOT
Whatever terms we apply to 2026, this year will provide a reboot for every living being on this planet.
First off, remember that Pluto, the slowest moving planet in our common zodiac, moved into Aquarius November 19, 2024 and will be there until 2044. Wherever Pluto goes, it brings death and rebirth to us individually and to society as a whole. Aquarius is the sign of the population at large, innovation, and freedom. Pluto is power. In a nutshell, Pluto in Aquarius can be narrowed down to the catchphrase, “power to the people.”
When Pluto first dipped into Aquarius from March 2023 to June 2023 the Sudan war moved into a civil war, riots broke out in France, and demonstrations began in Syria. The Syrian government was overthrown in December 8, 2024, just weeks after Pluto began the twenty year transit through Aquarius.
Days before, on December 8, the leader of Korea declared martial law. He was impeached December 14 and on April 4, 2025, he was removed from office. During those times, the people stood up face to face against the police at gunpoint in the streets. Likewise, in the United States, citizens of the United States are standing up to ICE agents and reorganizing as a result of unpopular edicts.
And let us not forget the emergence and growing membership of BRICS as countries realign their ties across the world.
The people of the world have been pushed and are now waking up and reacting to the few who have a vision of the world that does not match the vision of the population.
Neptune
This month Neptune moves into Aries January 26 until March 2039. Neptune last transited Aries from 1861 to 1875. Neptune has ideals and vision while Aries takes action. Determined actions and even wars can be caused by opposing political movements just as the abolitionist movement was one of the causes of the American Civil War. We will see innovative visions come to the forefront. Many of our ideals will shift and we will have to assess our personal and international alliances. Likely, more cult-like leaders will emerge from the masses’ need for direction. We must be careful in our new choices for leaders.
Neptune, though, can soften toxic masculinity as more and more LGBTQ men and women take office including mayor of San Antonio Gina Ortiz Jones. Others include San Diego Board of Supervisors Paloma Aquirre, Delaware State Senator Dan Cruce, and leader of the Birmingham School Board Antwon Womack.
Uranus
Uranus moves into Gemini April 27 for a seven-year transit through Gemini for the first time in 84 years. There will be more AI advancements and progress in digital networks. The ways we learn, communicate, and connect will leap in speed and availability. Hopefully, Uranus in Gemini will not bring another global health crisis during the next seven years.
Saturn Changes Signs Also
Saturn with a 29-year cycle moves into Aries February 13. While Saturn moves through Aries until April 2028, leaders will be challenged by the people and we will have to balance our impulsive behavior with tempered actions.
The Minor Grand Trine
Recall that Pluto, Saturn/Neptune, and Uranus are still operating in the geometry of a minor grand trine. It started last year, peaking August-September. It will peak again in July of this year and again in June of 2027. This minor grand trine is an influence in the zodiac until 2029.
This is unusual because these are the slowest planets and they bring about deep change to the world. The result of this minor grand trine is that our societies, our technologies, and our personal lives will rapidly change universally. Community cooperation and collaboration will be restructured as we awaken to the fact that the ways we exist must work for everyone -- and that has not been the case for hundreds of years; may be never. This is a grand aspect though it is called minor.
Saturn/Neptune
Next month Saturn and Neptune hold hands at zero degrees Aries. Saturn and Neptune conjunct somewhere in the zodiac every 35-36 years which brings global shifts in terms of political structures as it did during the Bolshevik Revolution in 1918 and the dissolution of the USSR in 1989.
What is most important and beneficial is that on February 20 the conjunction occurs at the first degree of the zodiac. This event has not occurred at zero Aries in 4500 years give or take a day or two. This event, suggests a relaunch of humanity that takes us to a new level of life experiences. We can only imagine what that will look like over the next 35-36 years.
Not to mention that just three days before there will be a new Moon/solar eclipse at 28 degrees Aquarius indicating a new beginning for the empowerment of the people and technological breakthroughs. This is especially true for the rights of women and other people who are not afforded the same privileges as the top economic tier of the world economy.
There is so much more--including Jupiter moving into Leo, Pluto out of bounds south later in the summer and more eclipses. For now, brace yourself for the coming months. Connect with your community and create your own economy.
Here And Now
January 1
Mercury in Sagittarius is square Neptune in Pisces just before moving into Capricorn. Remember that Neptune is at the final degree of Pisces. While Mercury and Neptune together at this angle bring confusion, they can also bring resolution and awakening. Pay attention and don’t make important decisions now. Avoid people who have an agenda and know that their agenda may not be in your best interest. 1 will do well to be extra alert to the ebb and flow of other people’s agenda. They should check that they are not the ones pulling other people’s strings to have their way.
After squaring Neptune, Mercury moves into and through Capricorn January 1 to 20. Our thoughts and communication become more prudent and sober. If someone tells you that you are acting or speaking like your parents, you probably are doing just that. Bitter pills are always hard to swallow. This is a really good time to express ourselves wisely. People will take notice
The Full Moon 4:03 am CST January 3 in Cancer at 13 degrees
This full Moon is also called a Wolf Moon due to the lore that wolves howl during this very cold time of year. If you get the urge to howl -- let it rip, you are in sync with the wolves.
This full Moon is also a super Moon because it is very close to the earth; not quite the perigee (closest point). This makes it appear larger and brighter. It will pull on us emotionally more than usual.
This full Moon occurs in Cancer which further accentuates our desire to feel secure in this changing world. A full Moon heightens our awareness and emotions. Since this full Moon is in sensitive Cancer, we will most likely be feeling our feelings on steroids. Many of us will make important decisions. We will need to recalibrate our work/life balance. Issues surrounding our families can be more tense than usual. With Venus and Mars conjunct the Sun there will be extra emphasis on the good, the bad, and the worse aspects of our relationships. This is a time to do what is right for you. Do not be swayed by what other people demand of you. Use caution around the water. There are sure to be more international and maritime catastrophes occurring around this full Moon due to accidents or aggressive acts.
January 6-10
Beginning with the full Moon and becoming more prevalent during this time Venus, Mars, and Sun in Capricorn are opposite Jupiter in Cancer. Jupiter is still retrograde. This is a time wherein we can resolve those family issues as well as other relationship challenges. However, this is not a time to push for our unrealized expectations. This is a time to listen to your gut and always take the prudent route so as not to bite off more than you can chew, both literally and physically. Otherwise, we may choke on those wishes when they come true. Take small steps and savor the trip. Reach for the stars only if you have the means, will, and support to reach that far.
January 14 - 18
From January 14 to 18 Mercury falls into the same opposition from Jupiter. Make big plans during this time. A lot can be accomplished, but we must all be sensible about getting what we want and how to get that.
Venus, Neptune, and Uranus bring compassion, desire for happy endings, and unexpected prospects now. This can be such an exciting time that once again we might want to run towards something or someone with abandon. Luckily, Venus sextile Saturn brings stability like a handrail on a winding staircase. This can be in the form of good advice or listening to our inner voice. Enjoy this exciting time, but if you are offered Kool-Aid there is something in the drink that will subvert your will and your wishes. Decline the offer as something more real is around the corner.
Luckily the Sun is sextile sober Saturn and harmoniously trine Uranus. If lightning strikes during this time, it just may be a good thing in the long run.
The new Moon is at 28 degrees Capricorn while Mercury and Mars are close by at 26 degrees. They are all trine Uranus in Taurus and sextile Saturn and Neptune in Pisces. This is a big deal because Neptune at 29 degrees Pisces is about to cross the starting point of the zodiac, 0 degrees Aries. You can also see in the diagram that this new Moon creates an auspicious minor grand trine. This is a wonderful new beginning that supports our hopes and dreams.
With the Moon, Sun, Mercury, and Mars all in Capricorn this new Moon is a time for making plans for the future that are solid and stable. The sextile to Saturn lays an enduring foundation for our plans. Neptune provides vision and out-of-this-world inspiration. Also, remember that Neptune and Saturn are still angled by Pluto and Venus bringing us to a higher level of thought and actions for ourselves.
Many of us will focus our new Moon wishes and activities on improving ourselves, our home life, and our career. That which is important to us is addressed with Jupiter in Cancer. We must remain practical when dreaming big. Make big new Moon wishes. The next new Moon February 17 will be even more powerful.
Last, but not least, Mercury crosses Venus in Aquarius January 29. This is the light at the end of the tunnel bringing us happy innovations and compassionate activities. Hold on to that as the next few months will be awe-inspiring and sometimes scary. Remember though, you are not alone. We are having a collective experience of transformation now and there is nothing we can do about it but wait, watch, and transform with this wave.
The Bottom Line For Me And Maybe For You
For years astrologers and mystics have talked about the time that we live in now. Some people call it a paradigm shift, others say were are moving into a new dimension of reality and that some people will stay in the old dimension. Others call it the end of times and still other people call it a timeline change. Some say aliens are coming from outer space.
As an astrologer, these are explanations as to where we are moving as a society. It is my opinion (and as they say, take what you like and leave the rest) the old ways of economy, health care and societal structure are not serving everyone. There are people who like it because it works for them. Then there are people who are left out because of their color, gender, sexuality, level of education, wealth, or their nationality.
As governments falter and destroy institutions and as institutions that serve only the few collapse, the people at large will turn away thus creating localized societies that serve the needs of all. The people will create new systems that work for all including affordable health care that actually cures people. Systems of food distribution will become more localized and education will be provided for all. Education will actually become productive teaching people to think and not memorize data. This will be because we the people will turn away from what some people call the cabal that has ruled the world for eons.
Meanwhile, the old guard will continue to start wars and as Sarah Elkhaldy called it in a YouTube episode, rage baiting us in order to distract us from what they are really doing. Many people are on board with the old guard of the world. Many of us are waking up and that will continue as consciousness shifts over the next nine years.
While I am a meditator, a Buddhist, a bit of a Hindu and just about any other path that adheres to the fact the were are one joined by Source, I think of this time like the Christian story of Noah’s Ark. I was taught that story when I was too young to be able to choose my own path.
God told Noah to build an ark and put supplies and animals in the ark because a storm was coming. He did that. The storm came. It rained for 40 days and 40 nights. Noah and his family and all the animals floated away from the people called sinners to start over after the storm.
I feel that many of us are doing that, not because the other people are not as good as us, but because we are all faced with a choice now to stay where we are or seek something better for all of us. Many people are changing their choice as they see a storm coming. Where will we land? What will it look like? We probably won’t know until we get there.
I am cynical about many things. Why watch a rom-com? We know what’s going to happen. But I am also an optimist in that I still hope that both characters end of up together in the end.
I like to think we will have a happy ending and all be better for what we are birthing. I hope you will visualize a happy ending for yourself and every other being on the planet even if they don’t come with us on the ark. Hope is a great gift. My wish is that you do not lose hope.
For 35 years I have stayed away from airing what I think. I would never want to influence you, but I wanted to offer some semblance that may explain what we really cannot explain. I just may be all wrong, but I know we will all see each other after the storm and we will all be changed.

Read the summary with your calendar that shows the whole month on one page. Read through the intro and make note of the days that I point out. Mark the new Moon and the full Moon. The days between the new Moon and the full Moon are when you generally want to start something that you want to grow. Do look at that Moon void chart and take a rest on those days. I have discovered that no matter what I plan, it turns out another way on a Moon void day. Anything you try to accomplish will turn out with unexpected results.
Make note of the three days before the new Moon. People usually get anxious during these days because the phone does not ring or they feel confused or simply nothing is happen. That is because it is wind down time before the new Moon. You will usually notice that the action of life picks up once the new Moon occurs. Also note the days that planets change directions, especially Mercury retrograde.
Hopefully these suggestions will give you a bit of a start to maneuvering through life with astrology.
